Thomas Busby’s Will

with one comment

My friend Traci the Librarian threw me a bone when she visited the Archives at Raleigh… I had resigned my mind to the fate that Busby’s will was lost forever… gone. She had the hunch that a copy might exist and sho’nuff it did.

  1. Great find digging up that old will in the archives. It gives me a new clue on why I have Ancestry DNA matches with the Needham Bryan lines from Smithfield, Johnston Co NC. I think you landed on the same line that goes back to John Bryan and Lewis Bryan’s transport from Bristol to Virginia in 1659, along with my John Ballard of Bitton, England. For other looking at Ballard or Bryan records, see also, Marc’s research on Bryans of Nansemond and Bryan of Craven in the index on the right side of the pages. Thanks again Traci and Marc!
