Jordans in IOW and Surry Counties, VA
A commenter, Rene, was looking for a way to print out a highlighted subject of one of my HUGE online maps. This is a screenshot from my Surry County patent map. In this case I am highlighting the several JORDAN properties.
So this is basically an experiment to see if one of you can save this page on your computer and then print it out on a standard 8.5 x 11 paper.

This is an unfamiliar file type to my personal use but it works out to be a convenient size to upload/download. So, for the curious among you please try to Right-Click and SAVE this puppy to your computer and let me know if you can print it. thanks Marc
Here is the 1636 era Isle of Wight properties: This is the IOW map and not the Surry map (above).

Also note my usual disclaimer that I am a rank amateur at this stuff so this is merely my personal opinion…
It worked for me! I was able to crop it, resize, and print. Feel free to do this with all of your maps. 🙂

Hi Traci
Cool. I’m about to add another one which turned out smaller as a PDF filetype. The filetypes should not matter other than the convenience of a smaller file. Also the useful size of 5.5×11.
Hmmm… PDF does not want to upload as an “image” on WordPress. So PNG and good ole JPG are the formats I will try to stay with.

Yes! That works beautifully. Thanks so much Marc. This lets us see our Jordan property lines in detail, as well as their neighbors. This will be a huge help in our research.
Thanks again, Rene Jordan
