….Study of mystery Elizabeth Griffis
The rather hefty Brickwall I have encountered is a John Griffis. I cannot determine if he was:
1. A brother of the progentor of this family “Francis Griffis”.
2. A son of said Francis. or
3. Both of these. Scenario 3 is what I have portrayed on the speculative Tree above. It is quite possibly flawed and begging to be proven wrong and corrected.

I have decided to compile all my evidence into this Page in the hopes of having an epiphany…you know, that AHA! moment where you See The Light! and everything comes together and the Case is Solved! Actually I also have a backup plan. Once I compile all this formidable sleuthing into one big pile, I intend to submit it to the Big Honcho Agent known as Fable 5. I don’t use it day to day because it is too damn expensive. But for small missions I will use it.

This compilation is where I realized I had a Brickwall… in 1818 one of these Johns started accumulating land…more in 1828 and even more in 1838. Then he just dropped dead. Intestate without a will of course. He died with 750 acres. His widow, Susan, left a will and estate, Bless her heart… It seems somewhat apparent to me that John Griffis owned the modern Nobles Mill Pond at his death

This is perhaps the compelling evidence John Griffis was the son of William Griffis/Griffin d.1813. And further- this patent/deed subdivisions is exactly where the Nobles Mill Pond is today. (see above)
So…for those of you who are screaming at the computer screen right now demanding to know how I still cannot see how obvious it is that the John at the Mill Pond HAS to be the son of Wm Griffin d 1813… please explain this John SENIOR in 1782 at he Mill Pond with 31 acres. Ya gotta love a good mystery…
This is my evidence of the younger Francis Griffis… I am still looking at this guy. The Racoon Branch that I can verify is near at the very head of what I now call Killebrew Mill Branch.
