the Trading Path (Virginia)

The “skin trade” was Big Business of the time (1600s-1700s)… The Indian Trade penetrated from Petersburg to St. Augustine to Mobile. But it (the trade) was one of those Boom/Bust phenomenas that died out and vanished when its usefulness ended. Timewise, from the mid 1600s to 1776 or the Colonial Era.

I know little about the area surrounding this “path”… so it goes with the research, every little fact has to be pried out of the records. This article is my attempt at discovery. My method at this point in to build and throw out patent and deed surveys and try to find matches (and clusters) just to get a handle of where folks lived.
